Lady Leopards 2nd; Bunting, Mobley Conference Champs

The Lady Leopard weightlifting team finished in second place in the Gulf Coast 8 Conference Championships held at Citrus High School. Amelia Bunting and Brianna Mobley won the 169 and 183 weight class at the Gulf Coast 8 Conference  Championship held at Citrus High school. Bunting finished with a high score of 285 and Mobley

Softball Try-Outs on Jan. 20

The state semi-finalist softball team will have try-outs on Monday, January 20th from 10 AM to 1 PM at Tom Varn Park.  Make sure all paperwork is completed and uploaded onto www.athleticclearance.com by Friday, January 17th.  See Coach Lee in the weight room if you need to pick up the physical packet.

Baseball Golf Outing in February

The golf outing for the Hernando Baseball team will be held at Southern Hill Plantation on February 9th.  The proceeds from this event will fund the Leopard baseball team. The cost is $85 per person or $325 for a foursome.  Lunch buffet will start at 11:30 AM and will be a shotgun start at 12:30.

Huber, D’Alfonso are November Athlete of the Month

Girl Soccer player Gianna Huber and boys soccer player Nathaniel D’Alfonso were named Glory Days athlete of the month for November.  Congratulations to both of you for your achievements. Sorry for the delay in getting this honor posted but with testing and Christmas break we were in a time crunch.

Girls Basketball Defeats Central 77-10

The girls basketball team improved their record to 5-5 with a 77-10 victory over county and Gulf Coast Eight foe Central High.  The Lady Leopards will return to action Friday when they travel to Lecanto High School in another Gulf Coast Eight Conference showdown.

Grapplers Dominate Kiwanis Invitational

The Hernando Leopard wrestling team dominated the 38th annual Kiwanis Invitational by ending with a tournament high 305 points out of the 33 schools in attendance. Winter Springs High School finished 2nd with 225 points and Doral Academy got the bronze finishing with 192.5 points.  Hernando had twelve wrestlers place including two champions.  Josh Pritz
