Varsity Softball · Taylor Goes Yard, Braswell Dominates on Mound


Sophomore Hannah Taylor went 2-4 on the night adding a home run as part of her three RBI’s in the Lady Leopards 10-0 win over Crystal River.  Freshmen Ava Braswell dominated on the mound going the distance of five innings, giving up three hits and fanning four.  The game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.  Senior Olivia Townsend went 2-3 at the plate with two RBI’s. Savannah Ellis continued her hot streak at the plate going 2-3. Junior Hannah Lynch collected two hits as well as two stolen bases on the night. Freshmen Carolanne McClelland also knocked in two runs with a double.

The Lady Leopards are 5-0 to begin the season and return to action next week when they host county rival Springstead High School this Tuesday, March 2nd.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM.  The cost is $5 for the game and tickets must be purchased from www.leopardsathletics.org. Only digital tickets available as cash will not be accepted. Mask must be worn if you are not able to practice social distancing.
