Varsity Baseball · Leopards Win 14-1

The Hernando baseball team traveled to the Bears Den and came away with a 14-1 victory over Central.  Dylan Schatzel started the scoring with a RBI triple. The fifth inning saw the Leopards plating 4 more runs as the Talpa Brothers, Nick and Anthony as well as Schatzel knocking in runs.  That is all starting pitcher Riley Fisher would need as the ace lasted four innings giving up one run on two hits while striking out six.  Carlos Gonzalez came in and pitched three scoreless innings to  finish the game.

The Leopards improved their record to 7-0.  The Hernando defense played flawless in the field not committing any errors.

The Leopards will return to action tonight to take on the Bears at Hernando.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM. Cost of admission is $5. Tickets can be purchased on www.leopardsathletics.org.  Digital tickets only as cash will not be accepted.  Mask are mandatory unless social distancing is being practiced.
