All Outdoor Activities & Basketball Game Cancelled

All outdoor activities and tonight’s boys basketball game at Pasco High School have been canceled due to weather per county office.  The will not be a make-up game for the basketball game.

Dowdell Leads Lady Leopards to Victory

Taliyah Dowdell scored a game high 23 points in Hernando’s 58-41 victory over The Villages in the first round of the district play-offs.  The Lady Leopards improved to 11-13 on the season and are set to travel on Wednesday to The Villages to take on Crystal River High School.

Alum Shenefield Pitcher of the Week

Ali Shenefield, 2019 graduate and softball standout was named pitcher of the week for Sunshine State Athletic Conference in her first week of her college softball career by throwing a one hitter and a no hitter in her first two starts for Rollins College.  Rollins, a NCAA DII school is 4-0 to start the season.

Christie & Mobley Finish 2nd; Team 5th

Kali Christie and Bre Mobley finished in second place at the FHSAA Regional girls weightlifting competition being held at River Ridge High School.  The Lady Leopard team finished in a respectable 5th place.  There is a chance that Christie and/or Mobley could advance to the state as an at-large depending on how the other lifters

Bunting, Mobley District Champs; Team 3rd

Amelia Bunting (169 pound class) and Bre Mobley (183 pound class) won the district championship held at River Ridge High School. Bunting totaled 285 pounds and Mobley totaled 320 pounds. The Gulf Coast Eight (GC8) athletic conference wrestling championships will be held today at Hernando High School.  The tournament will start around 1 PM.  Each team will have one wrestler per class that will be able to compete for the conference championship in that class.  The conference team champion will be determined by the points
