The Gulf Coast Eight Conference awards were announced last night at the winter meeting being held at Lecanto High School.  Wrestler Josh Pritz led the way by being named Wrestler of the Year.  Coach David Pritz was named Coach of the Year after leading the Leopards to the conference championship.  The following wrestlers were named

Taliyah Dowdell scored a game high 23 points in Hernando’s 58-41 victory over The Villages in the first round of the district play-offs.  The Lady Leopards improved to 11-13 on the season and are set to travel on Wednesday to The Villages to take on Crystal River High School.

The Lady Leopard basketball team will host The Villages tonight, at 7 PM in the first round of the district play-offs.  The two teams split their regular season meetings with each team winning when they were at home. The Lady Leopards come in with a record of 10-13 and The Villages come in with a

The girls basketball team improved their record to 5-5 with a 77-10 victory over county and Gulf Coast Eight foe Central High.  The Lady Leopards will return to action Friday when they travel to Lecanto High School in another Gulf Coast Eight Conference showdown.

The Lady Leopard basketball team will be taking on Hernando Christian Academy tonight for senior night. The first 50 people that come to the game wear Hernando colors will receive a Leopard cowbell. The game will begin at 6 PM. Only the varsity will be playing.

The Lady Leopards basketball team defeated the visiting Raiders of South Sumter by a final score of 59-52. The Lady Leopards improved to 11-7 as they travel to Weeki Wachee High School for a 7:30 tip-off. JV will begin at 6 PM.

The Lady Leopards defeat the Lady Bears of Central High School 53-31 at the Leopards Den on Friday. The Lady Leopards improved to 4-2 on the season.  Hernando will travel to Springstead on Tuesday for a county match-up.

The Lady Leopard basketball team fell to South Sumter 58-46 at South Sumter High School.  The girls basketball team returns to action tonight versus county rival  Central High School at The Leopards Den with JV game starting at 6 PM.

The Lady Leopards traveled to Citrus High School and came back with a 56-48 district win.  Nakayla Roberts led the purple and gold with 31 points and Taliyah Dowdell chipped in 14 points.  The 3-1 Lady Leopards travel to South Sumter for a game on Thursday night.  JV game will start at 6 PM with

The Lady Leopard girls basketball team has started their season 2-0 with a 64-40 victory over county rival Nature Coast during Thanksgiving break and a 49-43 win over district opponent Lecanto High School last night.  The Lady Leopards were led by Nakayla Roberts, who had 25 points with the victory of Nature Coast.  Tyana Jones
