Leopards Sail Past Pirates

Hernando High baseball team ended their week with a 14-2 over Crystal River High School on the Brooksville campus last night.  Dylan Duphily led the Leopards collecting two hits and driving in four runs.  Duphily and Riley Fisher each went yard in a big seven run fourth inning. The Hernando High baseball team shut out the visiting Raiders of South Sumter 12-0 Wednesday night.  Riley Fisher continued his strong season on the mound hurling four innings and striking out nine.  Clay Oates came in to pitch the final inning as the game ended after five innings due to the mercy rule. Leopards Defeat Eagles on the Diamond

The Leopard baseball team pulled off a 3-2 victory over Springstead High School at the Brooksville campus Friday night. Senior Jordan Laing went the distance striking seven and giving up only four hits. Dylan Duphily led the way at the plate for Hernando going 2 for 4  at the plate. The Leopards improved to 14-1

Gonzalez Hurls Shut-Out

Leopard pitcher, Carlos Gonzalez hurled a complete game, 2-hit shutout against Hudson High School.  Gonzalez struck-out four of the Cobras mixing up his pitches and doing a good job with the location of his pitches. Leopards Finish Strong in Classic

The Hernando High baseball team finished strong in the Farm Bureau Classic, one of the toughest tournaments in the state.  The Leopards suffered their first loss of the season on Monday versus Cypress Creek but rebounded with decisive wins over Lecanto and River Ridge. The Hernando baseball team traveled to the Bears Den and came away with a 14-1 victory over Central.  Dylan Schatzel started the scoring with a RBI triple. Laing Throws a 4-Hitter

Senior Jordan Laing’s right arm continued to perform well for the Purple and Gold this season. Laing threw four innings giving up one run on four hits allowed.  Laing blew away seven Hurricanes via strikeout as Hernando defeated Citrus 9-1 on Friday night in Inverness.  Tristan Legg came in for Laing and threw two innings

Leopards Beat Hurricanes 9-1

The purple and gold came off the field victorious in a 9-1 GC 8 baseball game over Citrus High School.  The Leopards were led by Riley Fisher’s strong performance on the mound and the hitting of Dylan Duphily and Gabe Tafelski.  Fisher pitched four innings allowing only one hit and striking out eight.
