Laing, Fisher & Morgan Named All-Conference

Juniors Jordan Laing, Riley Fisher and senior Connor Morgan were named to Gulf Coast Eight 2020 all-conference team in baseball. Laing was named as a pitcher. 2020 Farm Bureau Classic Schedule

The 2020 Farm Bureau Insurance Baseball Classic scheduled has been released. The classic will consist of 25 games throughout the week at Hernando High School, Nature Coast Technical High School, Central High School and Weeki Wachee High School.  There will be two games a night starting at the 4 PM and 7 PM time slots. 

Leopards Rebound to Defeat Hornets

The Hernando baseball team redeemed their opening game loss to Weeki Wachee by traveling to the Hornets Nest to defeat the county opponent 6-2.  The Leopards were led by Javi Bonilla going 3-3 at the plate and receiving a key two-run double by Riley Fisher. Fisher, Valdez Lead Leopards on the Diamond

Junior Riley Fisher started his season off great on the mound by pitching 6 hitless inning in Hernando’s pre-season 8-0 victory against Zephyrhills.  Bryson Derryberry came in to pitch a hitless seventh in combining for a no-hitter.  Senior Broc Valdez led the offensive display going 3-3 with 3 RBI’s. Baseball Golf Outing in February

The golf outing for the Hernando Baseball team will be held at Southern Hill Plantation on February 9th.  The proceeds from this event will fund the Leopard baseball team. The cost is $85 per person or $325 for a foursome.  Lunch buffet will start at 11:30 AM and will be a shotgun start at 12:30.

Leopards Baseball & Softball Play Tonight

The Lady Leopard softball team will be traveling to Orlando to take on Bishop Moore tonight in regional play-offs with first pitch at 7 PM.  The baseball team will be traveling to Hudson High School to take on Fivay High School in the first round of district tournament.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM.

The Hernando baseball defeated the Springstead Eagles 3-2 to complete the season sweep of the county rival at Hernando High School.  Marick Aske pitched 6 innings with 8 strikeouts.
